Metrus Energy's Lighting Retrofit Savings Calculator

Estimated energy savings is the difference between pre-retrofit and post-retrofit energy usage. Energy usage is calculated using lighting power density, facility size, and average daily hours of operation. Lighting power density is based on ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1 Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings. Post-retrofit lighting power density is derived from data generated by current Metrus projects. The utilized electricity rate is an average of rates within the selected state weighted by number of utility customers. Metric tons of carbon dioxide per kilowatt-hour are also determined on a state-by-state basis.
