Metrus Energy has announced a new $7.3 million Efficiency Services Agreement (ESA) with its Fortune 100 technology customer. This latest deal encompasses 11 sites and spans 8 states. Metrus has now financed approximately $70 million of projects under this nationwide efficiency-as-a-service program. SmartWatt and the Clean Energy team at Key Equipment Finance are partnering with Metrus on this project. The project will reduce total electricity use for lighting in 11 sites by 59%, thereby eliminating 13,490 tons of annual CO2 emissions - the equivalent of taking 2,621 cars off the road. This marks Metrus’ seventh transaction with this customer in the past 22 months. Metrus has now financed projects in 23 different states generating well over one billion of kWh savings for its customers.
