Metrus Energy announced today a new $2.7 million Efficiency Service Agreement (ESA) with its Fortune 500 medical technology customer. The project scope will include LED lighting upgrades and controls at the customer’s Midwest headquarters. The project, Metrus’s second with this company, will generate an expected annual savings of $413,059 for 10 years. The annual CO2 reduction will be approximately 3,000 tons as a result of a 3.9 million annual kWh reduction. Combined, the two projects total over $5 million and spans four sites across Indiana and Ohio. Metrus partnered with SmartWatt, which will provide engineering and construction services as well as ongoing monitoring services, and the Clean Energy team at Key Equipment Finance.
