Bob established Metrus in 2009 and created the Efficiency Services Agreement (ESA) that the company utilizes to finance large-scale efficiency retrofit projects. He currently also serves as a Board member for the California Energy Efficiency Industry Council. Previously, Bob was vice president of energy efficiency at MMA Renewable Ventures where he directed the company’s overall EE financing business and identified and negotiated investment opportunities with ESCOs and large commercial and industrial energy users. He has more than 17 years of experience in the energy industry and worked for 10 years at Nexant (formerly part of Bechtel Corporation). He has developed and implemented over $200 million of large-scale energy projects and programs in the U.S. and in emerging overseas markets for utilities, energy end-users, government agencies, and international donors. Bob previously served as entrepreneur in residence for the California Clean Energy Fund (CalCEF) focusing on the identification of new business models for EE. Bob has an MA degree in international business from the Fletcher School, Tufts University and a BA degree in international politics and economics from Middlebury College.
Senior Counsel and Strategic Development Director, Metrus Energy
As Senior Counsel and Director of Business Development, Kendall directs Metrus’ legal strategy and leads contract negotiations with Metrus’ ESCO partners, lenders and customers. He is also responsible for developing channel partner relationships and supporting key business development initiatives. Before joining Metrus, Kendall served as outside counsel to Metrus for five years while at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, serving as lead counsel on all of Metrus’ ESA transactions. While at WSGR and before that at Heller Ehrman, Kendall has spent the last decade in private practice focusing on project development and project finance in the energy efficiency, renewable energy and real estate market sectors, both for one-off renewable energy transactions as well as programmatic and portfolio financing transactions. He has represented clients in transactions worth over $250 million in the aggregate. Kendall co-authored multiple editions of WSGR’s white paper “Innovations and Opportunities in Energy Efficiency Finance”. Kendall is a member of the Energy Bar Association and serves on the board of Solar Washington, a non-profit focused on advancing solar energy in Washington State. Kendall has a JD with honors from the University of Washington as well as a BA from Brown University.
Chief Financial Officer, Metrus Energy
As CFO, Greg is responsible for financial management, corporate strategy and the development of innovative financing structures at Metrus. Greg has over 25 years of finance and corporate management experience across diverse roles, vertical segments and geographies, including North America, Asia Pacific, Japan, Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining Metrus, Greg and his family lived in the Middle East for six years where Greg was Chief Executive Officer of First Leasing Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Barwa Bank (Qatar) and Chief Executive Officer of First Leasing Bank B.S.C. (Bahrain). He also served on the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kingdom of Bahrain. From 1994 to 2008, Greg was part of the senior management team that grew Oracle Corporation’s vendor financing program into a global, multi-billion dollar franchise; he started and developed the Asia Pacific & Japan financing programs from inception to maturity. Greg holds a MBA degree from the University of Notre Dame and BS degree in Business & Economics from the University of Montana.
Director of Business Development, Metrus Energy
As Director of Business Development, Doug is responsible for leading Metrus’ growth efforts including direct sales of energy efficiency projects to large commercial and industrial customers and the recruitment of new channel partners. Prior to joining Metrus, Doug served as the Managing Director and co-founder of NRG Energy Inc.’s Business Solutions group where he led the development and sale of products and services including large-scale distributed generation (solar and CHP), demand response and energy efficiency to national retailers, restaurant, hospitality and commercial real estate clients. During his 12-year career at NRG, Doug also served as Regional Account Director where he directed a group responsible for electricity sales to some of the most recognizable corporate brands and Fortune 500 firms in the U.S. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Syracuse University.
Business Development Manager
As Business Development Manager, Donald is responsible for sourcing project opportunities with commercial, industrial and institutional customers and working with Metrus’ channel partners throughout the energy industry. Prior to joining Metrus, Donald held sales and business development positions for venture-backed clean energy firms, retail energy providers and financial institutions. While at Clean Edison, he developed energy efficiency and sustainability training programs in collaboration with municipalities, local utilities, higher education institutions and federal agencies. Donald most recently served in the renewable energy lending division at Admirals Bank where he led channel partner recruitment activities for the bank’s unsecured lending program. He received his BA degree from Providence College.

Erik has over 20 years of experience, including project financing and the development of go-to-market strategies for energy efficiency companies. He was a member of the senior management team for two IPOs of venture capital backed companies and has raised and structured numerous private equity financings. Erik most recently served as chief operating officer and executive vice president of Orion Energy Systems (NASDAQ: OESX), a leading manufacturer of energy efficient, high-performance lighting systems and renewable technologies. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago and his BA from Tufts University.
Advisor, Metrus Energy, Senior Vice President of Energy & Carbon Management, Nexant
Terry has over 20 years of experience in the EE field. In his role as senior vice president in Nexant’s Energy & Carbon Management group, Terry directs all EE program and strategic consulting services. He has designed and implemented over $150 million of turn-key EE programs for utilities, regulators, and private sector customers in North America. Terry holds an MA degree in economics from Cambridge University and a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.

Scott previously served as the director of finance at the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. Scott joined C40 through the Clinton Climate Initiative in 2008, where he provided finance-level support to CCI’s Energy Efficiency Building Retrofit Program, playing a leading role in the successful launch of Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing programs for private buildings in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Melbourne. Prior to joining CCI, Scott built up extensive finance experience with ADN Capital Ventures, Dillon Read & Co, UBS Investment Bank, and Merrill Lynch. Scott holds a BA from Harvard University.

Benoit currently serves as director and chairman of GoGreen Capital where he is responsible for investments and manages participations. Prior to founding GoGreen Capital, Benoit held various positions with The Boston Consulting Group and Electrolux, before launching his own consulting group, advising companies in various sectors including utilities (Electrabel-GDF Suez) and cleantech. Benoit serves on the board of several companies in the cleantech and media & IT sectors and holds an MA degree from the Louvain Business School.
Board Member, Metrus Energy, CEO & Board Member, Borrego Solar Systems, Inc.
Mike currently serves as CEO and board member for Borrego Solar Systems, Inc. Mike has been with Borrego Solar since 2002. During this time, his primary focus has been supporting the sales and marketing of commercial and government grid-tied solar power systems. Prior to joining Borrego Solar, he worked as a product development engineer for Applied Materials in Santa Clara. Mike holds an MS degree in chemical engineering from Stanford University and a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University California Santa Barbara. Joining Borrego Solar Systems as a partner in 2002 has allowed Mike to work in the renewable energy field, for which he has always had a strong commitment.
