Energy Utilities

The recent adoption of major energy legislation in key states and the increased national recognition that energy efficiency is a critical component to any successful economic development and environmental initiative is driving the market for efficiency and Metrus’s ESA. A report issued in 2009 by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory predicts that the more than $3 billion dollar currently spent by U.S. electric and natural gas utilities on efficiency programs will quadruple (i.e., grow to more than $12 billion) by 2020.

Metrus works with energy utility companies throughout the U.S. that serve a large number of customers with a growing demand for EE improvements. Metrus’s ESA both complements and leverages existing utility technical assistance and economic incentive offerings by providing customers with an integrated solution to fully fund and maximize the total amount of realized energy savings from a project.
