Higher Education

According to the Department of Energy, colleges and universities spend more than $2 billion on energy each year. Sizeable energy efficiency investment opportunities exist at higher education facilities, including the upgrade or replacement of HVAC and central plant equipment and the installation of high efficiency lighting and control systems. The size and scope of the opportunity is underscored by the more than 650 colleges and universities that are signatories to the Presidents’ Climate Commitment which includes a sequence of direct actions to achieve carbon neutrality.
